The search for the next Director of Student Support Services has concluded. With over 70 applications, over a series of interviews our recruitment team narrowed to 5 candidates for our panel of teachers and parents to interview. In turn, this panel offered feedback and, alongside all of the recruitment materials submitted, finalists were named. Those last interviews concluded early this week and I am pleased to announce that Chip Nielsen was selected for the role and graciously accepted. A big thank you to the full recruiting team (Jeff Wilusz, Ruth Poulsen, Daniel Kilback and Serena McMahon) and the panel (Rana Khoury, Lindsey Cayer, Allison Baily, Wasan Hasan, Elizabeth Elmore, Ranya Haddad and team leader Kristy Cressey) for their tireless efforts!
The President of the Board of Trustees, Jeff Ogren, will host a Town Hall meeting in room 127 (virtual attendance also an option) from 4:30 - 5:30 pm on Tuesday, October 27th. Mr. Ogren will share an update about the financial standing of the school and answer questions from community members. This announcement will be repeated next week along with the link to the virtual meeting.
The ACO General meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 13 at 3:15 in Room 127. If there is no quorum, a second meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 27 in the Learning Commons at 5:30 p.m. The 2025/26 auditors report from PWC will be presented.

Understanding MAP at ACS
Parents of students in grades 2-10 can access their child(ren)’s MAP scores on PowerSchool. To learn more about the MAP growth test, you can find a video here or a handout here.
Please click here if you need help locating your child(ren)’s MAP report in PowerSchool. The MAP Reports will be available for parents at 3:00 PM today, Thursday, October 8th.

Campus Facilities Access — Weekend of Oct. 9 and 10
We're happy to welcome our community to campus this weekend! ACS facilities (field, playground, and upper gym) are open outside of school hours for ACS badge holders only to use. To keep everyone safe, we kindly ask that parents actively supervise their children at all times.
Facilities close at 8:00 pm.
Please help us keep the space enjoyable for everyone - no food or drink, and kindly clean up after use.
Pool Access (Lap / Family / Community Swim)
Pool access is available to ACS badge holders, with parents actively supervising their children at all times.
Saturdays: 10:00–11:30 am and 12:00–1:30 pm (Sign-up)
Mondays: 4:15-5:15 pm
Wednesdays: 4:15-5:15 pm
