Ms. Joelle Basnight
It is beginning to feel a lot like the end of the year! This week our high school students offered their in-class student-led drama performance, our high school art students had their final exhibition and our middle and high school band students shared their last concert of the year. The annual activities and awards banquet celebrated our students’ accomplishments and our new mascot - STING - even made his first appearance (thanks PTG!). This is on the heels of the final Middle School Dance and the Elementary AAC Jamboree! And, of course, we all look forward to the PTG Celebrate Jordan event this weekend!

Activities & Athletics Awards Celebration
Last night, we gathered in the ACS Theater and Quad to celebrate everything our students bring to this school beyond the classroom — and there was a lot to celebrate.
The evening recognized student achievement across athletics, the arts, service, and co-curricular life. It's always a reminder of how much is happening here that never makes it onto a report card.
Two special awards stood out. Greta Mawe and Hamza Bustami were named this year's Artists of the Year - a well-earned recognition of the creativity and dedication they've brought to the arts program. And Zain Al Wir and Ayden Metin took home Sportsperson of the Year honors, capping off strong years on the field and in competition.
Congratulations to all our award recipients, and thank you to the families, coaches, advisors, and staff who showed up — on the night and throughout the year.
If you missed it, the full ceremony is available to watch here and link to pictures here. You can also view the evening's program.
Summer Camp Options in Amman — 2026
As a reminder, ACS Amman does not offer a summer camp program. However, we know many of you are looking for enriching options for your children over the summer, and we've come across several programs from schools and organizations we know and sometimes work with. These are not endorsements, but simply options worth exploring if you're staying in Amman this summer.
