Ms. Joelle Basnight
Many thanks to the 158 families who completed the annual community survey. This is our highest return rate yet and we are incredibly grateful for your efforts.
While the child/section specific information will be shared with and by Principals, here is a chart of the general results:
This data, along with the comments, help us to gauge where to put our energies to better support the community.
Overall, the community continues to view ACS as a secure and welcoming environment. Our facilities and core values also maintain strong confidence.
We are setting a slow but steady increase in community awareness regarding our Foundational Documents (year on year). We expect that the understanding of ACS’s emerging Competencies will follow suit. Transportation is generally satisfactory with a call for route expansion and more supervision. Both have been studied and come with an increased financial cost to families. Our understanding is that an increased cost is not of interest to the majority.
Finally, while the satisfaction with Global Advocacy is lower, there was a high number of “neutral” responses which indicates we need to be more explicit regarding what Global Advocacy looks like in practice. Not surprisingly, satisfaction with Blue Fig/Catering is also low, lending weight to our transparent bidding process currently underway. Four catering companies submitted proposals. Three have submitted sample menus and will offer taste testing bites to students and faculty for feedback before decisions are made.
