Ms. Joelle Basnight
A huge thank you to the U.S. Embassy for sponsoring the AFCENT Band performance on Wednesday afternoon. It was a highlight for HS, MS and grade 4 and 5 students. The theater was packed with energy and enthusiasm!
Our team continues to make progress on defining competencies for our school. Our Educational Leadership Group has now confirmed defined skills and “look fors” for each competency and is in the process of defining the scope and sequence for each “look for” written in student friendly language. Once these are drafted, faculty will be consulted and, then, they will be shared with the community and board for further comment. Our communications team will also work on updating the student profile to reflect the selected competencies.
Please note that I will be in Canada next week for the annual AAIE conference and the NESA Board of Trustees winter meeting (as I represent ACS as a trustee). Michelle Alzamora will be Acting Superintendent in my absence.
