Ms. Michelle Alzamora
Dear Elementary School Families,
At ACS, we firmly believe that actionable and constructive feedback is a powerful catalyst for growth, not just for our students but our entire learning community – including the dedicated adults who guide them. Just as we encourage our students to reflect on feedback to deepen their understanding and refine their skills, we, too, as educators, embrace the opportunity to learn and evolve in our practice. We understand continuous improvement is essential in fostering an exceptional learning environment where every child thrives.
Over the past two weeks, our elementary students have actively participated in providing valuable feedback to their teachers through surveys focused on classroom relationships and instructional strategies. These thoughtful responses offer a unique window into the student experience, highlighting what resonates well and identifying areas where we can further enhance our approaches. Individually, teachers will dedicate time to carefully consider this feedback, reflecting on the nuances and identifying potential adjustments to their teaching. Furthermore, as an elementary school team, we will also examine trends in the feedback to gain a broader understanding of what is working well across the division and where we might collectively focus our professional growth efforts.
Our teachers, who were integral in developing this survey, are eager to engage with this data, viewing it as a valuable tool to refine their practice and further cultivate a positive and effective learning environment for every student.
Yours,
Michelle Alzamora

As part of our mission to deepen students’ appreciation and understanding of the visual arts, second-grade students visited the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts last week. The trip complemented their current exploration of modern and conceptual art by giving them the opportunity to experience regional contemporary works in a professional gallery setting.
Students made meaningful connections between their classroom learning and real-world art experiences, while also developing a deeper understanding of the gallery as a space for dialogue, reflection, and community engagement. A special highlight of the visit was discovering one of their own art teacher’s paintings on display, a moment of pride and inspiration for all!
