Good Afternoon

I want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to Ms. Pike, her team, and the incredible cast and crew of Matilda Jr. for their outstanding performances this past weekend. The dedication, talent, and hard work that went into bringing this production to life were evident in every scene, and it was truly a joy to watch our students shine on stage. Congratulations on a spectacular run!

As we celebrate the arts, we also want to wish our student-athletes the best of luck as they compete in their SAISA tournaments this weekend. Our boys' basketball, girls' soccer, and track & field teams have been training hard, and we’re excited to see them represent ACS with determination and sportsmanship. Go Scorpions!

With the long weekend ahead, we hope you all take the opportunity to relax, recharge, and enjoy quality time with your family. Please remember that we will have a late start on Tuesday, February 18th, when we return to school.

Course Registration - Double Check - As course registration has been completed, we kindly ask to review your child's course selections in PowerSchool this weekend to double check that everything is in order. If you notice a mistake or have any questions, please contact Mr. McBride and/or Ms. Collings and they will get back to you ASAP.

Accessing course selections:
- Log into PowerSchool
- The left-hand menu there is an option called “Course Registration;” click
- Course selections for 25/26 will be visible

Parent-Teacher Conferences

We invite you to participate in the Spring 2025 Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, February 27th. There are no classes for students on this date.

Please understand that the PowerSchool sign-up process applies only to Elementary homeroom, Learning Support, and Counselor conferences.

In High School, we encourage your child to join your PTC, as this is a great opportunity to assist them in taking responsibility for their own learning.
High School parents do not need to meet with Cohort advisors.
Ms. Rihani and Ms. Hasan will be available from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM with break times: 10:30 - 10:45
The following crossover teachers will be in the Green Room (Sting Zone) with MS - see MS information for break times.

HS Couseling Office Announcements - Ms. Kurdi & Ms. Collings

Ms.Kurdi has been meeting with junior students to discuss their senior-year course selections and future plans. On Thursday, she met with all juniors to dive deeper into college list building, MaiaLearning, standardized testing, and more. As we move forward, we’ll continue to meet regularly to explore the college application process in greater detail, including applications to universities around the world. Exciting times ahead—let’s keep the momentum going!

Seniors who are US citizens are encouraged to fill out the FAFSA. Lots of online videos and resources are available to guide students and parents through the process.

College Fair

Last week’s College Fair was a fantastic opportunity for students to explore a wide range of universities and connect with admissions representatives. Looking ahead, we have more university visits scheduled in the coming weeks—stay tuned for details!

We all see our seniors proudly wearing their "I’ve Been Accepted to University" robes in the hallways. We’re proud of you, Class of 2025!

Here are the dates and registration deadlines for the upcoming SAT test for those who are planning on taking the tests. Please note that there is no late registration.

ACS Amman is the testing center and will not show up in the drop-down list. You must enter our code, 54202, in order to select our school as a testing center.

Opens on PowerSchool Thursday, Feb. 13 @ 4pm and will close Feb. 23rd at 9am.
- Please make sure to register on time as we will not be able to to accommodate late additions

Busing

If your HS child receives ACS busing transportation, they are also eligible for the HS Activities late bus which departs @ 4:45 pm. Please see the Athletics and Activities page for more information.

Medical

Be sure to update your child’s medical information with the Health Office (Nurse Hiyam) and in PowerSchool.
