Dear MS Families, 

MAP Testing Continues Next Week 

This week your child completed the reading and math MAP tests. Next week they will complete the language assessment. MAP is not an assessment that your child can study or prepare for. To help them do their best, please ensure your child gets plenty of rest and eats a healthy breakfast. You can also help your child by not stressing about this testing experience. It is not a high-stakes assessment; the children have no reason to feel stressed about their performance. If your child missed a test this week we will schedule them for a re-take over the next two weeks. After all students have completed the tests, you will receive information about your child’s performance on the MAP assessment. Save The Date - Departing Families Transition Workshop Invitation 

Join us on May 7th from 5:00 - 6:30 pm for connection, activities, and discussion in relation to transitioning out of ACS and into a new place. This is for middle school students and parents. Expect to connect more deeply with each other (and other leavers) on the things that make leaving complex and perhaps gain clarity on the things you and your family might do to offer closure to your time at ACS or Amman. Our location is still to be determined, but we hope you consider joining us in a few weeks. We will send out a formal invitation to all departing families with more detailed information soon. 

Reminder - Save the Date - Grade 8 Moving Up Ceremony 

• May 20 at 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm in the theater 

• We will share the livestream details via email with all Grade 8 families closer to the event date.
