Celebrating our Middle School Musicians

Congratulations to our fantastic musicians and Mr. Kennedy on their recent performances. If you missed the MS/HS Winter Arts Showcase, which featured the MS Guitar Ensemble, MS Scorpion Band, MS Concert Band, HS Rock bands (five separate performances), and the HS Jazz band, you can watch the link below. MS/HS Winter Arts Showcase

Quarter 3 Begins on January 8

Please understand that Quarter 3 will begin when we return from winter break. If you have a 6th grader, their wheel class will rotate. Additionally, some Grade 7 and Grade 8 electives will change with the new quarter. All changes will be updated in your child's Powerschool schedule, and advisors will go over this on the first day back from break.

Report Cards will come out January 30

Your child's report card will be ready for you to view in Powerschool on January 30. We will share instructions for accessing them in the WGO closer to the release date.

Counseling Corner - From Ms. Martinez

It was a busy semester in the counseling office and I had the opportunity to do individual check-ins with every student early-on in September which was lovely. During the second quarter, all students received our annual Safeguarding and Child Protection lesson.

Each grade level also participated in a classroom guidance lesson. Sixth graders got to think about and discuss healthy and unhealthy friendships–what they look, sound, and feel like. Seventh and 8th graders had activities and lessons around bias, prejudgement and what influences those things as well as what we do with them when we have them. Overall, our students show up in these lessons engaged and ideally take one piece of personal learning away from it.

I’m wishing everyone a happy holiday season and I look forward to catching up in the new year!

Trivia Night -- January 16, 2025

The HS Compassion Club would like to announce the 2nd annual ACS Trivia Night.

We will raise funds for the Jordan Food Bank and Himmetna this year.

Travel Commitment Forms Due

If you have yet to complete the following Travel Commitment Forms, be sure to do so as they are due today (Dec. 17th)
SAISA Boys’ Basketball: Commitment Form (Mumbai)
SAISA Tennis: Commitment Form (Chennai)
SAISA Track and Field: Commitment Form (Muscat, Oman)

Over the break:

Be sure to see campus access for days and hours that the upper gym, pool, and field are open

Busing

If your HS child receives ACS busing transportation, they are also eligible for the HS Activities late bus which departs @ 4:45 pm. Please see the Athletics and Activities page for more information.
