It was a short but sweet week this week in Middle School. I want to offer a note of congratulations to our returning middle school SAISA athletes and coaches! You competed well and represented ACS with the highest honors, we are so proud of you!

7th Grade APN Field Trip

The 7th-graders had a great day making an impact in the local Jordanian community of Al Jizah. Together they planted 320 olive trees for a local farmer who is a retired Arabic school teacher. The 7th-graders experienced hard work as they dug holes in arid soil, planted trees, and cleaned up the site. They also learned about tree grafting, climate change impacts in the region, and how they can make an impact. According to the farmer, in 1 hour ACS did what would take him years to complete. ACS’s efforts were much appreciated as the olive trees will help him in retirement and to give his children access to higher education. The 7th-graders will continue to use this service trip as a basis for the human impact learning that will happen through the month of March.

25-26 Course Registration Meeting - Feb 24 5:30 pm

We are getting ready for the next school year and the course registration process!
Please join us on Monday, February 24
This meeting will take place on-campus in the ACS theater at 5:30 pm
Should there be weather related issues, we will communicate and move the event fully online by sending a google meet link from the MS Office via email.

MS Parent Teacher Conferences

We invite you to participate in the Spring 2025 Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, February 27th. There are no classes for students on this date.

Please understand that the PowerSchool sign-up process applies only to Elementary homeroom, Learning Support, and Counselor conferences.

In Middle School, we encourage your child to join you at conferences as this is a great opportunity to assist them in taking responsibility for their own learning. Please remember there are no classes, sports, or after-school activities on this day.
Ms. Heba - Art Teacher will be available from 9am-1pm with break times: 10:30 - 10:45
The following crossover teachers will be in the Gym with HS:

- The SAISA girls' soccer team kicked their way through the majestic mountains of Nepal. Our Track and Field team blistered about in the desert of Oman, and finally, our boys’ basketball team shot, dribbled, and defended their title; capturing a third straight SAISA championship.
- Congratulations to all of our SAISA athletes and families.

Busing

If your HS child receives ACS busing transportation, they are also eligible for the HS Activities late bus which departs @ 4:45 pm. Please see the Athletics and Activities page for more information.
