Dear MS Families, 

I hope you and your family have a lovely Eid/Spring Break where you get to enjoy a little downtime before we make the final push to the end of the school year. The next few weeks are going to feel a little discombobulated with MAP testing and several long weekends. Please check the ACS school calendar to stay updated. With this inconsistency please ensure there are some consistent routines for your middle schooler.  Most importantly - sleep! We strongly encourage your child to keep with their normal sleep routines during those long weekends to set them up for smooth transitions in and out of school. 

Spring MAP Testing

The MS will conduct spring Map testing starting April 7th. MAP is a test we use to gather data about our learners in reading, math, and language. Once MAP tests are complete, teachers will review and analyze this data as one of the tools guiding their instructional decisions. 

MAP is not an assessment that your child can study or prepare for. To help them do their best, please ensure your child gets plenty of rest and eats a healthy breakfast. You can also help your child by not stressing about this testing experience. It is not a high-stakes assessment; the children have no reason to feel stressed about their performance. After all students have completed the tests, you will receive information about your child’s performance on the MAP assessment. MS Spirit Week

Please encourage your child to participate in our MS spirit week! This will begin right after the Eid/Spring Break. Please ensure that all costumes are school appropriate and culturally respectful.

Save the Date - Grade 8 Moving Up Ceremony 

A special note for our Grade 8 parents. We are eagerly looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday, May 20 at 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm for the Moving Up Ceremony. This is a significant milestone in your child's academic journey, and we are excited to share this moment with you. Please note that we will be live-streaming and recording the event. We will share the livestream details via email with all Grade 8 families closer to the event date.
