Dear MS Families, 

As the school year ends, many children in international communities face the emotional challenge of saying goodbye to close friends. Here are a few ways parents can support them:

• Normalize Emotions: Let your child know it’s okay to feel sad, angry, or anxious—these emotions are part of caring deeply.
  
  

• Create Meaningful Goodbyes: Help your child write letters, make small gifts, or plan a goodbye activity to bring closure.
  
  

• Talk About International Friendships: These bonds are unique and intense—acknowledge their value and remind your child they can stay connected across distances.
  
  

• Support Staying in Touch: Show them simple ways to keep friendships alive through emails, video calls, or shared journals.
  
  

• Reflect as a Family: Create space to look back on the year, share favorite memories, and celebrate growth.
  
  

• Focus on Belonging: Amid change, reinforce the idea that they are deeply known and loved at home.

Transitions can be hard—but with your support, they also become powerful opportunities for growth, gratitude, and connection. Please reach out to our team at ACS if your child needs any additional support or brainstorming. 

End of Year Reminders:

Last Day of School Assembly 

Please join us in celebrating our MS students at the end-of-year assembly on Wednesday, June 4 at 10:30 a.m. in the theater. We will quickly acknowledge all students who participated in sports and activities, say goodbye to leavers, and give out MS Student Profile awards. All families are welcome to attend, If your child is receiving a student profile award you will receive a separate email notification. We hope to see you there!

MS Checkout & Library Books 

We are starting the checkout process to ensure all school supplies and materials have been returned to ACS before departing for summer break. Please understand that if your child still has an LC/Classroom book or a school instrument, make sure they return it on Sunday, June 1, to receive their yearbooks and avoid paying a fee. 

Report Cards & MAP Scores 

We have closed the parent portal in Powerschool so teachers can start to import report card information.  Your child's report card will be ready for you to view in Powerschool onthe last day of school. Instructions for accessing them will be shared soon. Additionally, you will also be able to view your child's second semester MAP score in Powerschool. 

Unexpected Departures

We understand that for many families, enrollment for next year remains uncertain. If your plans change and you need any paperwork support over the summer, please be in touch with your sectional principal and request records from ACS registrar at khajjiri@acsamman.edu.jo
