Thank you to everyone who attended our first PTG meeting of the year, in person and online! We spoke about who we are, what we have planned and how you can help. If you missed the meeting, please visit Scorpion Central to catch up.
As the year is off and going for our kids, so are we. And next up is SPOOKTACULAR! Please check back in next week’s WGO or our PTG News WhatsApp Group for volunteer information and how you can help make this community event truly Spook-tastic!
We are excited to announce our first Art Workshop with Ms Dana for the year - Home & Belonging: A Printmaking Workshop for ACS Parents. Taking place on 29 September from 8-11am, we will explore the concepts of home and belonging and reflect on the role of artists in shaping our understanding of identity and place. Inspired by Zarina Hashmi, a printmaker known for her minimalist work on home and identity, we'll learn how symbols and abstract forms can convey complex ideas. Participants will design a personal symbol that represents what home means to them and print it using the block printing technique.
