What a wonderful “week 3” on campus - everyone seems to be settling back into the rhythm of school.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Prime Minister of Jordan has declared September 10th an official public holiday to support individuals in casting their votes in the Parliamentary election. As such, ACS will suspend classes and campus will be closed.
A reminder that the deadline for volunteering to serve on the annual calendar creation committee is approaching. If you did not read last week’s explanation, please click on “archive” at the bottom of this section to review and, then, if interested, know you can put your name forward via this form.
Please mark your calendars for the first week of October! This year, as part of our strategic plan, we are reviewing and, potentially, revising, our foundational documents. We have contracted an external facilitator to support this process and she will be on campus for listening sessions with all stakeholder groups on October 2nd and 3rd. Look out in future WGOs for the visit schedule.

ACS Parent-Student Access (Campus facilities)
The following campus access procedure is for when school is in session only. Hours and availability during school vacations/holidays will be publicized in the WGO.
Our facilities are always bustling and we wanted to update you on family access for the 24-25 school year. ACS facilities (field, playground, pool, and upper gym) during non-student times will be available for ACS badge holders only (No outside guests unless attending an ACS event )
ACS facilities close at 8 pm.
The main gym is off limits
Please note that the field and upper gym times will change weekly.
Weekend of August 30th and 31st
These spaces are first come first serve
(August 30th) Field and Playground: 5 am-8 pm
(August 31st) Field and Playground: 5 am - 8 pm
Friday (August 30th) Upper gym: Tennis nets will be set up and open court shooting with hoops 5 am-8 pm (this is a shared space)
Saturday (August 31st) Upper gym: Tennis nets will be set up from 8-11 am (first come first serve) 11 am-8 pm open court for shooting
No food or drink is allowed in any of these areas.
Be respectful of the space and clean up after yourself.
Pool Access (family swim)
Saturdays: 9:00-11:00 am and 12:00-2:00 pm. Sign-up is required.
Wednesdays: 4:15-5:15 pm
Thursdays: 4:45-5:45 pm
