Ms. Joelle Basnight
Have a wonderful long weekend and, if you are celebrating Thanksgiving, enjoy! In the spirit of gratitude, thank you to everyone for your care, compassion and dedication to our beautiful community!
The weather has turned and it feels like winter has officially begun. I would like to take a moment to remind everyone of the following:
ACS takes its cue regarding weather related closures from both the local ministries and from our own reconnaissance regarding road safety.
ACS will make every effort to contact families by SMS and email as early as possible should we face a snow-related closure.
If a single day snow closure is announced late at night or early in the morning, ACS invites everyone to enjoy the fresh snow!
If the closure stretches beyond a single day or is announced in anticipation of a major storm, virtual schooling will be the norm. In such cases, Principals will follow up with schedules and expectations.
Partnership with the Jordan Food Bank
Our partnership with the Jordan Food Bank continues to grow, and we’re grateful for the opportunity they gave our students to help package food parcels for families in need. The MS Global Issues class has been working hard to advocate for the Food Bank’s work and raise awareness about how they support marginalized families across Jordan. It’s great to see our students connecting with meaningful service projects like this.
If you’d like to support the Jordan Food Bank and their efforts, you can learn more or donate here.

Cooking for a Cause: A Delicious Success!
Last week, our community came together for a Cooking for a Cause event, a Lebanese cooking class featuring Sayadiyeh and Muhammarah. Organized by our very own Ms. Zeina El Kouzi and led by the talented chef Ms. Hania Adawiya, the event blended culinary passion with compassion. Together, we raised 500 JOD to support Lebanon relief efforts. Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and supported this initiative. Your contributions show that when we come together, we can cook up real change!
