As a school community, we understand that the one-year anniversary of the regional unrest on October 7th may be a difficult time for many. This may feel even more pronounced on the heels of this week’s unsettling events. We are here to support everyone during this period. Our principals will share specific plans to assist their faculty, and at our assemblies, we will discuss the resources available to students within each section to help them navigate these challenging emotions.
In case you missed it, the calendar committee is asking for feedback on the two drafts of the 2025/26 Annual Calendar. Please click here to comment. The committee will meet to review the data on October 8, so please submit any thoughts before Sunday afternoon.

MAP Parent Chat Video
MAP Parent Chat Video
On Sunday we hosted a Parent Chat to help parents better understand how to read their child’s MAP reports and how we use the results from MAP assessments at school. You can find a recording of that chat here. Parents of students in grades 2-10 can access their child(ren)’s MAP scores on PowerSchool. Please see the graphic below if you need help finding your child’s MAP report.
Campus Access for ACS Parents and Students
The following campus access procedure is for when school is in session only. Hours and availability during school vacations/holidays will be publicized in the WGO.
Our facilities are always bustling and we wanted to update you on family access for the 24-25 school year. ACS facilities (field, playground, pool, and upper gym) during non-student times will be available for ACS badge holders only (No outside guests unless attending an ACS event )
ACS facilities close at 8 pm.
The main gym is off limits
Please note that the field and upper gym times will change weekly.
Weekend of October 5th and 6th
These spaces are first come first serve
(Oct 5th) Field and Playground: 5am-8pm
(Oct 6th) Field and Playground: The field is closed for practices. Will open @ 12pm for leisure use
Friday (Oct 5th) Upper gym: There will be 2 tennis nets from 8-6 pm
Saturday (Oct 6th ) Upper gym: 8-11 am (first come first serve) Tennis nets will be up and basketball nets will be down
No food or drink allowed in any of these area.
Be respectful of the space and clean up after yourself.
Pool Access (family swim)
Saturdays: 9:00-11:00 am and 12:00-2:00 pm. Sign-up is required.
Wednesdays: 4:15-5:15 pm
Thursdays: 4:45-5:45 pm
Back to School Supply Drive
Lost and Found
Lost and found items will be displayed outside the swimming pool on Thursday, October 10, during Parent-Teacher Conferences. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity.
American Community Organization (ACO) General Meeting October 8/October 29, 2024
The ACO General meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 8 at 3:15 in Room 127. If there is no quorum, a second meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 29 at 5:30 p.m. in the Learning Commons
