Ms. Joelle Basnight
Thank you to all of the community members who came out to support SAISA this past weekend! The gym was packed and the live stream was hopping as our students competed across the region! Go Scorpions!
And the Halloween Parade today! Wow! The celebration continues at Spooktacular on Saturday. See you there!
I am also thrilled to announce that Billy Thomas has accepted the position as our incoming Middle School Principal. His wife, Jaime Thomas, has accepted the position as our new Director of Student Support Services. Billy and Jaime will join us in the fall with their two daughters.
A Celebration of Community Engagement at ACS: Community Partners Fair
On Tuesday, October 29th, ACS was buzzing with the spirit of collaboration as we hosted our annual Community Partners Fair. With partners such as Al Aman Fund, Al Rahma, APN, Basboos Project, CRP, Himmetna, Jordan Food Bank, King Hussein Cancer Foundation, Orenda Tribe, PACES, Reclaim Childhood, Tobacco Free Jordan, and TIRAZ Cultural Preservation, the fair brought together students eager to learn about the impactful work these organizations are doing across Jordan.
Students who signed up for these sessions were inspired by our partners’ stories and are already brainstorming ways to contribute through our Service Learning and Global Advocacy initiatives. From environmental projects and cultural preservation to health and wellness advocacy, each partner presented a unique avenue for students to engage and grow as compassionate, proactive global citizens.
We are proud of our students’ enthusiasm to connect and make a difference, and grateful to our community partners for sharing their time, insights, and passion. Thank you to all who participated in making this event a remarkable day of connection and inspiration!

SAISA Recap
Our Scorpion ambassadors have returned from swimming in the Himalayas of Nepal and from spiking ball in Sri Lanka. Here in the heartland of Amman, it was magical to see the "C" shine in ACS as the energy and hospitality here while hosting SAISA Boys' Volleyball was through the roof. So much that there were no stars in the sky at night, they were down on the court and in the crowd. Thank you to all that did so many things behind the curtains for another successful SAISA event!
