Last week I circulated a survey link to support our upcoming work on our foundational documents. If you missed the link, please complete this short survey before September 27th.
Further to the same, Abbi De Lessio, from Triangle Associates, will be on campus on October 3rd and 4th to engage in listening sessions with community members.
Her focus questions are:
What are the key elements that distinguish ACS from other schools in Amman;
Who you believe ACS exists to serve;
What should be ACS’s aspirations for the future; and
Existing or projected trends that will have an impact on ACS’s students, today and in the future.
Abbi is intentionally limiting sessions to 15 people each. Interested parents are invited to sign up on this link for one of the following times:
ES Parents - Wednesday, October 2nd from 8 - 8:45 am or Thursday, October 3rd, from 2:15 - 3:00 pm
MS/HS Parents - Wednesday, October 2nd, 2:15 - 3:00 pm or Thursday, October 3rd, from 8 - 8:45 am.

Next week we are wrapping up our MAP assessments for students in grades 2-10. We are also looking forward to sharing the MAP results with parents. We invite you to join us on October 30 at 8:15 in the morning for a special MAP Parent Chat. This presentation will be recorded for parents that are not able to join us.

The following campus access procedure is for when school is in session only. Hours and availability during school vacations/holidays will be publicized in the WGO.
Our facilities are always bustling and we wanted to update you on family access for the 24-25 school year. ACS facilities (field, playground, pool, and upper gym) during non-student times will be available for ACS badge holders only (No outside guests unless attending an ACS event )
ACS facilities close at 8 pm.
The main gym is off limits
Please note that the field and upper gym times will change weekly.
Friday, September 19th (first come first serve)
Field open- 5am-8pm
Playground: 5am-8pm
Upper Gym (blue) 5am-8pm (1 Tennis net and 1 volleyball net will be up and hoops for shooting will be down)
Main Gym- OFF LIMITS
Saturday, September 20th
Field open- 4-8pm (we have practices and games going on prior)
Playground: 5am-8pm
Upper Gym (blue) 5am-8pm (Tennis net and Volleyball net will be taken down @ 3pm)

We Need Your Plastic Donations
We Need Your Plastic Donations
We are excited to announce that we are taking part in a collaborative project with Precious Plastics, UN Habitat and Amman Municipality. 18 high school students are working together with women from Gaza refugee camp and Karak to collaboratively design and create two large scale site specific sculptures made from plastic waste. We need your plastic donations to make this happen! Please drop off your collections in the high school art room as soon as possible.
