Ms. Michelle Alzamora
Dear Families,
Believe it or not, we are already beginning to think about classroom placement for our next school year. Creating class lists is a complex process that requires great thought and time, involving many perspectives. We will consider each individual child’s needs as well as the makeup of the class as a whole. Our overall goal is to create balanced classrooms where each child has adults and peers who support them as a learner.
We invest a great deal of effort in developing homeroom class rosters to create the best learning situations for all our students and classes. To do this well, we appreciate your input about your child. Please consider filling in the form at the link below to let us know about factors unique to your child’s needs. We will not consider requests for specific teachers or other children in the class. Your child’s friends may not make the best learning partners.
Please complete this form to let us know about factors unique to your child’s needs. The survey is available for 4 weeks. Please fill out the form linked above before Thursday, February 19th, when the survey will close. All information from this survey is confidential and will only be seen by the teachers at your child’s current grade level, our counselors, and our administrators.
Thank you in advance for helping us create the best possible learning environment for your child.
Warmly,
The ES Admin Team
Dear Parents,
We're writing with a quick update on Google Gmail access for students in grades 3–5.
Effective immediately, we're restricting external email access for these students as part of our ongoing safeguarding efforts. Students will continue to have full Gmail access for internal school communication, but will not be able to send or receive emails outside of our secure domain.
This change helps protect our young learners from common risks such as inadvertently sharing personal information, receiving inappropriate content, and phishing attempts that increasingly target children who are still developing digital literacy skills.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
Daniel Kilback, dkilback@acsamman.edu.jo

Hello ACS Community!
My name is Lori Black, and I’m the Middle and High School Teacher Librarian. This year, we’re on a mission to build a community of readers by sharing our favorite books. Each week, a teacher, student, or staff member will highlight a book they love in hopes of inspiring others to read it too. We will call it ACS Book Talks. I hope you enjoy this new project and discover something wonderful to read!
The LC was absolutely buzzing today! 🐝 Our students were in a total race to crack the Emoji Book Challenge. There’s nothing like the competitive spirit of a bookworm on a mission! 📖🕵️♂️
Next week is our final Mini Challenge: The Prop Challenge. We look forward to seeing which of our amazing teams will win a coveted spot for the Book Trivia Challenge on the 9th.
