Mr. Billy Thomas
Welcome back, Middle School families! I hope your winter break was filled with rest, relaxation, and wonderful memories with loved ones. It is a joy to see our halls filled with energy again as we kick off the second semester today. I wish all of our students the very best of luck as they dive into new challenges, and I look forward to another semester of growth, discovery, and community!
We hope you and your families had a restful and wonderful winter break. It has been such a joy to see our students return this week! The hallways are once again filled with positive energy, laughter, and so many smiling faces.
There is a special kind of "buzz" in the air as students reconnect with their friends and settle back into the rhythm of school life. Having the children back in the building reminds us all why we love what we do, their enthusiasm and spirit truly bring our school to life.
We are looking forward to a fantastic and productive Semester 2 ahead!
ATTENTION GRADE 8
26/27 Course Registration Parent Information Session (Grades 8-11)
Please join High School virtually on Tuesday, January 19th @ 5:00 p.m. to review our course registration process and to learn about how best to support your children through the selections and ask any questions you may have.
You will receive an email with a link on the morning of the 19th.
PREPARING FOR SNOW DAYS
As we move into colder weather, we wanted to remind you of our Snow Day process.
If we are notified “last-minute,” there will be no learning expectations set for your children that day.
If we have advanced notice and/or if the snow day extends to multiple days, then Middle and High School students could expect the following:
Online learning from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., regular rotation schedule.
Teachers will post assignments and instructions on Google Classroom by 10:00 a.m., designed for students to work independently at their own pace or synchronously with the teacher present via Google Meet.
During their assigned teaching blocks, teachers will be available online to provide one-on-one support through email, Google Meet, or chat.
We recognize that not all families may be able to participate fully in online learning due to potential outages. Please prioritize your child’s well-being, and know that our counselors are available via email for support if needed.
Throughout the year we will share some resources / quick reads that we believe would be of interest to our MS Families
