Mr. Billy Thomas
We are looking forward to seeing many of you on campus for our Parent-Teacher Conferences on March 19th. These are just like the fall, a drop-in format, and we invite you to stop by for approximately an hour from 8:30-3:30 to connect with your child’s teachers. These conversations are a vital check-in point for the year—a dedicated time to celebrate the growth your student has achieved and to align our efforts for a successful, high-energy finish to the second semester. Your partnership is the foundation of our students' success, and we can’t wait to welcome you for these discussions.
On a more personal note, I want to share how incredibly proud I am of our Middle Schoolers. The last two weeks have brought unique challenges and several shifts in our routine, yet our students have navigated it all with remarkable flexibility and a positive attitude. Whether they were logging in from across the world or adapting to new procedures on campus, their ability to stay focused and support one another has been truly inspiring. It is in these moments that the strength of our community really shines, and I am constantly reminded of how lucky I am to lead such a resilient group of young people.
Our Explore group students recently ventured to the Tiraz Museum in Jabal Amman to immerse themselves in the "Widad Kawar Collection," the world’s most comprehensive archive of Levantine textile heritage. This field trip offered a unique, hands-on look at the historical and cultural significance of Palestinian, Jordanian, and Middle Eastern traditional dress. Guided through a stunning array of garments, students discovered how intricate embroidery patterns, from the "cypress tree" to regional geometric motifs, serve as a living map of identity, social history, and storytelling. By connecting classroom discussions on ethics and cultural preservation with these physical artifacts, students gained a deeper appreciation for the artistry and resilience woven into the region’s history.

UPDATE
Dear Evacuated Parents,
Please do not worry about library late notices if your family is departing the country over the next few days. We want to ensure your focus remains on a smooth transition, so if you receive an automated message from the Learning Center (LC) while you are away, please feel free to ignore it until your return.
Our team is currently updating our records to reflect student departures. While it may take us a few days to finalize that list in our system, rest assured that we are pausing these expectations for our traveling families.
Also, please remember that the Sora Reading App and Epic! is available no matter where you are! You can access our full collection of eBooks and audiobooks by signing in with your school email. It’s a great way to keep reading on a phone or tablet while on the go.
Please contact us if you have any questions. Safe travels!
