Mr. Billy Thomas
As we approach the final stretch of the year, I want to take a moment to celebrate our incredible Grade 8 students. This past week’s Moving Up ceremony was a beautiful reflection of the growth, resilience, and spirit this cohort has shown throughout their time in Middle School. Watching them stand together, ready to take that next big step into High School, was a proud moment for our entire faculty and staff. They leave us with a strong foundation, and while we will certainly miss their leadership in our hallways, we are beyond excited to see the impact they will undoubtedly make across the way next year. The photos taken at the ceremony are included in this weeks WGO and will be emailed out to families this weekend as well. Congratulations to the Class of 2030!
Looking ahead, I want to wish our entire community a peaceful and restorative Eid Al-Adha break. This upcoming week provides a wonderful opportunity for our families to rest, reconnect, and recharge after a very busy spring term. Please note that school will be closed for the duration of the holiday, and we look forward to welcoming all of our students back on campus on Sunday, May 31st. We have an action-packed final week of the school year planned, and we can’t wait to see everyone refreshed and ready to finish the year strong!
Over the last two weeks, our World Language students have been out and about practicing their skills in the "real world."
French C & Advanced French: Students fully embraced French culture (and flavors!) by visiting Foron Abd Bakery, where they took on the challenge of ordering and socializing in French.
Arabic E: Our learners headed to Media City for an exciting, immersive experience at Roya TV. This visit allowed students to see the Arabic language in action across modern media and digital communication platforms, highlighting how their classroom skills translate into professional regional industries.
Experiences like these build a level of confidence and cultural nuance that simply cannot be replicated in a textbook. We are so proud of the way our students represented ACS in the community!
MOVING UP CEREMONY
Thank you to everyone who joined us, whether in person or online, to celebrate this significant milestone. It was a truly special afternoon, and the atmosphere in the theatre was filled with pride and excitement.
We are incredibly proud of this Grade 8 cohort; they have shown resilience, creativity, and leadership throughout their time in Middle School. We are certain they will go on to do amazing things as they step into High School and beyond.

Privacy: As always, we kindly ask that all photos remain within our school community and are not shared on social media platforms to help us respect the privacy of all our ACS families.
YEARBOOKS SY2025/26
The wait is almost over! Yearbooks will be officially handed out across the school at the end of day on Wednesday, June 3.
Yearbook signing is a cherished tradition and a highlight of the last day of school. It provides our students with a wonderful opportunity to share memories, exchange messages of appreciation, and celebrate the friendships they’ve built throughout the year. Please have your MS child bring their book to school on Thursday, June 4 so they can participate.
These books are a beautiful time capsule of the 2025/26 school year, and we can’t wait for the community to finally see the hard work that went into creating them.
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
As we prepare for the final day of the school year, please keep this gentle reminder in mind regarding our dismissal schedule:
Dismissal Time: School ends at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 4.
Campus Departure: All students must be picked up or depart campus by 11:40 a.m.
Transportation: If your child uses the school bus service, please check directly with the Transport Office if you have queries regarding their specific drop-off time for this early dismissal.
We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring all our students get a head start on a wonderful summer break.
HOT OFF THE PRESS!
Since December, Middle School students have been meeting after school once a week to hone their creative writing skills.
We have brainstormed ideas, crafted characters and settings, and explored scenes. We have played around with language and considered how best to "publish" our work.
This is the result of our labors: a collection of scenes from our stories. We hope you enjoy them.
ATTENDANCE
We are asking all MS families to input absences directly in PowerSchool - PowerSchool parent portal.
This video shows you how to report a student's absence.
