Mr. Billy Thomas
What an action-packed month it will be for our Scorpion Athletes! A huge round of applause goes out to our Soccer and Volleyball teams for their incredible effort and sportsmanship as they prepare for their end of season tournaments. We have seen phenomenal dedication, teamwork, and exciting competition on the courts and fields, and we are so proud of every athlete and coach for their hard work all season long. Additionally, a special shout-out to our students who traveled for the SAISA events this fall. They represented ACS with immense pride and spirit, making new friends and demonstrating outstanding athletic and cultural engagement throughout their trip. Seeing our students compete and connect on a global level truly highlights the best of our community.
As we celebrate our fall sports achievements, we are also thrilled to turn our attention to the arts. This week, we send our very best wishes to our talented theater students who are embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Italy! They will be participating in the prestigious International Schools Theatre Association (ISTA) Festival, collaborating with students from around the world in workshops, performances, and cultural explorations. This is a tremendous opportunity for them to develop their dramatic skills, broaden their global perspectives, and create lasting memories. We know they will be fantastic ambassadors for ACS and wish them safe travels and an inspiring festival experience.
This week, students in the Global Issues elective participated in a Model United Nations (MUN) debate, where they practiced speech writing, public speaking, and problem solving. They also sharpened their collaboration skills as they worked to propose realistic solutions to global challenges.
MS WINTER SOCIAL
Middle School’s first social for SY2025-26:
Thursday, November 20
5pm - 7pm
4th floor
Our Student Council have been working tirelessly to make our first social of the year a positive experience for all children. To help with this they have come up with a number of different spaces to accommodate everyone's interests and comfort level.
Spaces will include:
Disco
Movie Room
Game room
Snack room
Chill zone
Important Safety Measures:
Children must leave campus between 3pm - 5pm (Student Council exempt). There will be no supervision between school and the social. Please help your child make plans off campus during that time.
Children attending the social must remain the entire time - parents can start picking their children up from 6:45pm
In order to ensure a positive experience for everyone - all MS Expectations will be adhered to.
For Our Parents:
Recognising the challenges with Thursday evening traffic, we will make use of the Parent Room (near the gym) with Tea/Coffee for parents to wait/connect/work during the social.
MS CONFERENCES: YOUR FEEDBACK
Thank you for attending the Middle School Conferences on October 16th! We truly appreciate you taking the time to connect with your child's teachers.
Just like the continuous learning journey of a middle schooler, we are constantly striving to improve our events and genuinely view your perspective as an essential part of our partnership.
To ensure future conferences are the best they can be for all MS families, please share your honest and thoughtful feedback via the short survey below. Your input is vital for enhancing our program.
