Mr. Billy Thomas
As we move further into the school year, we have several important events on the horizon that I want to bring to your attention. I am excited to announce that we will be hosting a special parent information meeting for our upcoming Adventure Jordan overnight trips. The meeting will be held on Monday, October 29th, at 5 p.m. in the theater. We will cover the trip itinerary, safety measures, and answer any questions you may have to ensure a smooth and successful experience for all. Your attendance is highly encouraged, and we look forward to sharing more details about this wonderful opportunity for our students.
I also want to remind everyone that Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for on Thursday, October 16th. This is an invaluable chance for you and your child to connect with your child’s teachers, discuss their progress, and collaborate on strategies to support their academic and personal growth. Please be sure to schedule your conference time in advance to ensure you can meet with all the teachers you wish to see. We believe that a strong partnership between the school and our families is crucial for our students' success.
Finally, I would like to extend a huge thank you to all our student athletes and their coaches for their hard work and dedication. Our teams have multiple home games next week, and we would love to see you in the stands to cheer them on! Your support makes a big difference to our students, and it's a great way to show our school spirit. Please check the school website for the full schedule of games. I hope to see you all at these events and thank you for your continued support of our middle school community.
Our budding artists in Grade 6 have helped beautify the fourth floor by displaying their artwork.
In class, students explored the art of landscape painting by capturing scenes from their neighborhoods or travels, using a limited color palette to create depth and mood.
Through careful color selection, they transformed everyday views into striking compositions, learning how restraint can enhance creativity.
Their work showcases not only their technical growth but also their ability to see the world through an artist’s lens.
If you happen to be on campus, drop by and admire their work!
ADVENTURE JORDAN
Adventure Jordan Family Information Evening:
Monday, September 29
5:00pm - 6:30pm
ACS Theatre
Initial information about Adventure Jordan can be found on our Adventure Jordan Website.
ACTION REQUIRED:
All families are asked to complete a consent/medical form for each child attending Adventure Jordan.
PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
Our Parent Teacher Conferences
Thursday, Oct 16
8:00am - 6:00pm
ACS "Stingzone" (previously called "The Greenroom" in the Pool Building)
These conferences are a great time for you to hear about the wonderful work your child has been doing.
Our conferences are designed to be flexible and welcoming — families can simply drop in at a time that works best for them, without the need to book in advance. This open format often creates a lively, community feel as families connect with one another while waiting.
Please plan to allow plenty of time, as there may be lines to see teachers — to make the wait more enjoyable, Blue Fig will be open, and we’ll have snacks available on the day.
We would like families to be aware that most teachers support up to 75 children. In order to see every family, conferences can only a 10 minute conversation. Should you require a longer, more in-depth conversation, you are welcome to request the teacher to schedule more time on another day.
CAMPUS AFTER HOURS
Now that we have all settled into our routines, we would like to remind families and children that Middle School children must leave campus by 3:15pm unless they are involved in a supervised activity (ASA's, Musical, Sport).
This is a safety measure as there is currently no supervision.
