Ms. Joelle Basnight
I hope this Thursday finds your family settling into the rhythm of life back at school. We certainly love having kids back on campus.
Of note this week:
We await official word on the celebration day for the Prophet’s Birthday. Please remember this is a flexible lunar holiday which is determined by the local government. The day off will either be on Thursday (4th) or Sunday (7th) in early September. Kindly refrain from making travel arrangements until the holiday is announced by the Government of Jordan.
The time has come to pull together a group of interested parents to serve on our annual calendar creation committee. This multi-stakeholder group of teachers, staff, students and parents will come together 2 - 4 times in September and October (after school) to draft calendars, analyze community feedback and make recommendations to leadership regarding the annual calendar for 2026/27. Interested? If so, click here. The deadline for submitting this survey is August 31st. (Note: a question will be added to this year’s calendar about Ramadan Hours and the data collected, alongside drive-time data, will be analyzed by this team).
📌 Gentle Reminder: Update Your Contact Info
We kindly request that all parents review and update your contact information in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. It is important that a local phone number is included to ensure timely and effective communication.
The update form is available under the Forms tab within the Parent Portal. Click here for instructions to guide you through the process.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain accurate records.
Guardian Access to Google Classroom
We are excited to announce a new feature coming to Google Classroom that will help you stay more connected to your child's learning. Starting next week, we'll be rolling out the Guardian Access to Google Classroom feature for students in grades 4 through 12.

Update on Passport Renewal Services
A representative from the Consular Section will be on campus on Friday, August 22, during the PTG Back to School Picnic to provide limited passport renewal services.
