Ms. Joelle Basnight
Welcome back! It has been great to have the energy and enthusiasm of students back on campus.
A few things to note:
Our Technology Department has communicated about the updated ID card process. If this does not ring a bell, please check your email (and maybe your spam folder).
I am looking for parents to serve on the Annual Calendar Committee in September and October to work with teachers and students as the team settles on an annual calendar to send on to Leadership and the Board. Interested in learning more? Click here.
Finally, as you may know, we are currently searching for the next Student Support Services Director, a position that does not include a site visit to solicit feedback from all constituencies. If you are a parent interested in serving on a staff/parent interview panel, please email me. This will likely require a few preparation meetings and, then, 4 - 6 panel interviews with candidates - all after school hours. The team will develop questions and look fors so all candidates are asked the same questions. Panel interviewers will fill out a confidential feedback form that is sent to me after each interview. Ultimately, the decision on who to hire will rest with our recruiting team, however, this team considers the input from all interviews when reaching a decision.

A Big Thank You to the PTG - 2025-2026
The PTG has donated a new outdoor screen for the Scorpions Field, and we could not be more grateful.
The screen will serve as our main scoreboard for games and tournaments, but its use goes well beyond that. Our PE classes will use it during lessons, it will bring PTG movie nights out onto the field, and it opens the door to plenty of other events throughout the year.
This is the kind of gift that our students, coaches, and families will enjoy for years to come. It makes game days sharper, PE more engaging, and community nights on the field something special.
To everyone in the PTG who made this happen, thank you. Your generosity keeps making the Scorpions experience better, and this donation is a wonderful example of it.
